Tierra del Fuego National Park is located just 12 kilometers from the city of Ushuaia. It is unique in Argentina for being home to mountains, sea and forest. The excursion begins by traveling along part of National Route No. 3, crossing the valley of the Pipo River and the foothills of Mount Susana until reaching the station of the Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino, one of the sectors where the prisoners of the old Ushuaia prison worked. After a brief visit to the facilities, those who wish to do so can take the one-hour train ride (not included). The rest of the group will continue by bus with the guide to enter the National Park. After meeting up with those who took the train ride, we will continue visiting the most attractive spots in the P.N. Tierra del Fuego and its impressive landscapes such as Lake Roca and Lapataia Bay, where National Route No. 3, part of the “Pan-American Route”, ends. At each site, we will take short walks to appreciate the different species of native forest and the fauna preserved within the southernmost national park in Argentina.
