Crossing the Patagonian steppe from north to south, we will arrive at the Cancha Carrera border crossing (2 hours 20 minutes), from where we will begin to travel through the beautiful south of Chile until we enter the Torres del Paine National Park (blue in the Tehuelche language, in reference to the predominant color). At around 11:30 am we will make the first panoramic stop at Lake Sarmiento with the entire Paine mountain range in front of us. Once in Paine, we will make several stops with descent (and some without descent thanks to the panoramic windows). We will stop at lakes, waterfalls, viewpoints, guanaco and fox sightings, among others. Aboard the 4x4 overland trucks we will visit strategic points, from where we will undertake walks that allow us to access the panoramic viewpoints of the most important natural attractions of the park. By default we do a walk of low technical difficulty and minimum physical demand, and if the group is fit, we can do a more demanding route. The hike is done in the company of trekking guides authorized by CONAF – Chile. At Laguna Amarga, taking advantage of the potential of the 4x4, we will skirt the lagoon along its sandy shores, to access the best panoramic view of the Torres del Paine. There we will make a stop for a short walk. Then we will continue towards Cascada Paine where we will go down to have a picnic on the banks of the Paine River with views of the Torres. Lunch is outdoors protected by the vegetation, we will provide a picnic on the mountain, protected by the infrastructure of the overland trucks. The food is included and is abundant, so it allows to keep the adventurers fed throughout the day. Once on the road again, and after making stops at various viewpoints (Laguna de los Cisnes, Mirador Superior del Nordenskjold), we will arrive at Salto Grande, from where we will hike to the Mirador de los Cuernos del Paine on the shores of Lake Nordenskjold. This hike is guided and lasts about 2 hours in total (from 2 to 4 pm approx.). After this hike, we will continue in the vehicle to a new viewpoint, this time near Lake Pehoe, from where we will have one of the most famous views of the National Park, with the Cuernos and the Valle del Francés in the background, framed by Lakes Pehoe and Nordenskjold. From there we will also see Mount Paine Grande and Almirante Nieto. Return to El Calafate crossing the border, arriving at our destination at approximately 9:00 pm.
