The tour departs through the Lerma Valley to the town of El Carril, continuing through Chicoana and entering the Quebrada de los Laureles (Laurel Gorge) and then the Quebrada de Escoipe (Escoipe Gorge), arriving at Maray. From there, the tour continues along the Cuesta del Obispo (Bishop's Slope), a winding road offering panoramic views of the Enchanted Valley and small houses with corn and fruit orchards. The highest point, at 3,384 meters above sea level, is reached at Piedra del Molino (Millstone Rock). The route then crosses Los Cardones National Park along the Tin-Tin Straight, an ancient Inca road. Upon arriving in Cachi, a panoramic view of the Cachi and Payogasta snow-capped mountains is offered. A visit to the town of Cachi is included, featuring the Archaeological Museum and the church. The return to Salta is via the same route.
